Unlike its predecessor ‘The Occasion’ which had epic songs coming in at 8 and ½ minutes long the songs on 'Ciao To The Beauty' are all quick, short and to the point. I like to think of this next album as a Harkness Juke-box, most of its songs are of the earworm variety...energetic, refreshing musical pieces that are short and sweet and are for the most part under 3 minutes long.

I have been recording and arranging music for many years now and on this record I wanted to crystallize all that I have learned. Everything was to be extremely lean and mean as I did my best to hit the sweet balance of true simplicity and artful sophistication. Lyrically it is an exploration of Love and Loss and all the rich emotions that accompany those experiences, as well as a close look at our own inner worlds as we navigate such feelings.
